About Us

Mom Haven Hub was developed to address the growing need for compassionate, community-centered perinatal and postpartum support.Recognizing that many mothers lack accessible support outside of formal therapy, this hub was designed to bridge the gap—offering education, community connection, and wellness-centered programming that uplifts new and expecting moms. Through perinatal groups, postpartum education, parenting workshops, and curated maternal resources, Mom Haven Hub promotes balanced, holistic maternal wellness. Our approach values cultural responsiveness, identity-affirming support, and evidence-based practices that honor each family’s experience.

About the Founder:

Sierra Scarlett, LMSW, RCSW-I

Sierra Scarlett is a maternal wellness advocate, perinatal mental health specialist, and Licensed Master Social Worker whose work is rooted in clinical training, cultural responsiveness, and a deep commitment to supporting mothers through the profound transition into parenthood. Her professional foundation is strengthened by specialized education in perinatal mental health through Postpartum Support International (PSI), where she completed both the Perinatal Mood Disorders: Components of Care training and the Advanced Perinatal Mental Health Psychotherapy certificate program.

Sierra’s commitment to maternal wellness began long before Mom Haven Hub came to life. During her graduate studies at Howard University—an institution deeply rooted in community advocacy and social justice—she piloted program content addressing Black maternal mortality, perinatal mental health disparities, and the multifaceted challenges mothers face during pregnancy and postpartum.

Her professional mission is shaped not only by clinical expertise but also by lived experience. As a mother to a young child, Sierra experienced postpartum depression and the emotional aftermath of a traumatic birth herself. She understands firsthand how isolating, overwhelming, and unknown the perinatal period can feel, even when you’ve prepared, planned, and expected joy. Her journey through healing illuminated the gaps in community support and maternal resources, especially for mothers navigating postpartum recovery while juggling identity shifts, caregiving demands, and the need for emotional restoration.

Mom Haven Hub was born from that recognition—a desire to create what Sierra wishes every mother had access to: a central, nurturing, culturally informed hub where support is not limited to clinical intervention but extends to education, community connection, and holistic wellness. She envisioned a space where mothers could access evidence-informed guidance, perinatal programming, restorative wellness experiences, and peer-based community that truly understands the complexities of maternal adjustment.

Sierra’s work is grounded in the belief that maternal wellness thrives when mothers feel seen, supported, and connected. She approaches this work through the lens of compassion, cultural humility, and social work values—ensuring that every mother who enters the Mom Haven Hub community feels affirmed, welcomed, and empowered in her own story.

Mom Haven Hub stands as a reflection of Sierra’s purpose: to create a warm, supportive, and comprehensive haven for mothers in all stages of pregnancy and postpartum—because no mother should feel like she has to navigate this journey alone.
